Powder coating

The coloring of aluminum and galvanized steel is based on powder coating technique which consists in "cooking" a colored powder sprayed on the profiles. The adhesion is then created between the color and the metal in order to obtain a polymerized coating of quality, ready to resist the vagaries and the variations of the climate. This method ensures exceptional durability combined with an impeccable appearance.
We work with several companies specializing in powder coating in order to obtain a product respecting the specifications of our company.
The powder coating option adds an additional 30 € Ht which is added in the delivery, which corresponds to the preparation of the products as well as the reinforcement of their protection for the transport.

4 - Guarantee

The guarantee attests that the products (excluding accessories and mobile structure - 4.2) delivered by the company Tubeclampstore.com are guaranteed by :

• 5 years : for galvanized steel pipes and fittings.
• 10 years : for aluminum tubes from the date of delivery.

4.1 - This guarantee only covers lacquered parts against the following defects :

• Detachment, flaking and blistering.
• Loss of gloss, chalking and color change greater than the tolerances of the regulations in force.
• Corrosion, except connection screw and / or if this corrosion is caused by bending or deformation of parts after their lacquering.

In order to assert its rights to warranty, the purchaser must, under pain of forfeiture of any action relating thereto, inform the company Tubeclampstore.com, in writing, the existence of these defects within a maximum period of 60 days from of their discovery.
Under these conditions and after validation of the after-sales service, the parts must be returned to the company Tubeclampstore.com. Once verified and validated by the workshop, they will be replaced or relaqués. The replacement of these defective parts will not have the effect of extending the duration of the above warranty. This warranty does not cover the cost of installation and removal and shipping.

4.2 - Mobile elements & accessories :
No guarantee is given on all removable accessories (expandable screws ...), mobile structures (powder-coated structures that are assembled and disassembled more than once) and hardware stores (screws, ..) lacquered against any malfunction from 'a material, manufacturing, design and corrosion defect apart from mechanical damage.

4.3 - Are excluded from this guarantee :
These warranties are strictly limited to our choice and do not apply :

• In case of deliberate or unintentional deterioration, lack of maintenance, any abnormal use of equipment, as well as damage caused by bad weather, freezing or immersion of parts.
• In the event of damage caused by cleaning or contact with products or materials to which the lacquer layer is not chemically resistant, or caused by defects in construction, repair or maintenance.
• The damage caused to the products by any modification resulting in a modification of the primary characteristics [...]

5 - Environmental Quality

Thermosetting powder paints do not contain solvents, toxic compounds or lead-based pigments. They can be stored and used without special precautions. The techniques for applying powder paint induce low material losses. Surplus is recovered from filtration systems, returned to the system and recycled, minimizing the impact on the environment of releases and wastes.
It should be noted that this technique does not require any worksite intervention and that steel or powder-coated aluminum meets the criteria of sustainable development to the extent that it is indefinitely recyclable.

6 - Questions answers

1 - Is powder coating a guarantee against rust?
No, the powder coating is a decorative protective coating, only the galvanization of the tubes or the aluminum offers an assurance of anticorrosive protection.

2 - Can i refit a clamp on a powder coated tube ?
Yes you can refit it, but the powder coating get's damaged under the clamp when it's fitted. So when you refit it, you will see the mark on the tube. Always test fit the clamps before fixing them.

3 - How is the price of powder coating calculated ?
The price of the powder coating is based on the size of the object and the complexity.

4 - Can the powder coating be added after the purchase ?
No, the powder coating has to be done in the factory. Each product surface is prepared before coating, the elements are powdered by an electrostatic process and baked at about 200 ° C.

5 - Can i paint the products myself ?
Painting does not always come cheaper because it often requires a 3-layer system to be successful. The normal single-layer liquid paint may be cheaper, but in the long run it becomes very expensive in maintenance (redo painting every year: purchase paint, accessories for painting, working time).

6 - How many color choices exist for powder coating ?
We have a range of more than 120 colors (RAL Color Chart above).

7 - Does powder coating require special maintenance ?
Yes, it is recommended to clean it with fresh water once or twice a year following the exposure of the powder coating elements.
