Tubeclamps fittings

Thanks to our TUBECLAMPS tubular fittings, easily create temporary or permanent constructions ultra solid. Each piece can support an axial load of 700kg with locking screw*, for a tight screw with a torque of 40Nm (obtained with a ratchet). Fittings are made from iron (BS EN 1562:1997), hot-dipped galvanised (BS EN ISO 1461:2009) with a zinc coating ( single corrosion protection ). Fittings are TUV approved, delivered fast to all Europe countries at the best prices.

1 - Tables of horizontal load capacities (beam loads) :

Table of horizontal load capacities tested on 2 galvanized steel tubes BS EN 1387 (tube diameter defined in the table) with the fittings TUBECLAMPS. Values are in kg. The table of theoretical loads is only given as an indication for the loads that can be applied to the tubular uprights, which is normally the limiting factor in the design of the handrail. Table 1 shows an indication only of the uniformly distributed safe load that may be applied to a shelf consisting of BS1387 heavy weight front and back tubes forming continuous beam.
Minimum safety ratio 3:1.
Suitable precautions against set screw slippage must be made when the load applied to a single Tubeclamps fitting exceeds 240kg, assuming set screws are tightened to 40 Nm torque.

Shelving and structures in general can be built using the various tubular fittings. Care must be taken to ensure that the size and diameter of the chosen tube is adequate for the intended loads. To help select the right tube, Table 1 provides the evenly distributed loads that can be supported between vertical posts, assuming the load is supported by two horizontal tubes. These loads are calculated according to the maximum bending movement of the tube.

Warning : When designing structures, care must be taken that the load on each grub screw does not exceed 500 kg.

2 - Tables of vertical load capacities (upright loads) :

Table of vertical load capacities tested on 1 galvanized steel tube BS EN 1387 (tube diameter defined in the table) with the fittings TUBECLAMPS. Values are in kg. The following table shows the load capacities on a vertical tube with variable length. Values are based on compression force and buckling load of hollow tubes.

The table of theoretical loads is only given as an indication for the loads that can be applied to the tubular uprights, which is normally the limiting factor in the design of the handrail. Table 2 shows and indication only of the safe vertical load that may be applied to a single BS1387 heavy weight tube over the unsupported length shown when used as an upright with an un-fixed base.
Safety ratio 2:1.
